Activities and Family Activities in Corfu

Besides the showcase main town and a handful of museums, there are waterparks, riding stables, scuba centres (at Paleokastrítsa, Aharávi and Nissáki), old castles to clamber over, sleepy villages to explore, and hiking. The meandering, waymarked Corfu Trail – requiring eight to 10 days to cover its 220-kilometre/136-mile course from one end of the island to the other – makes a prime introduction to every conceivable landscape, from bird-rich lagoons to the highest summits. Even if you don't walk much (or any) of the trail, the environs of the route's south end – near Cape Asprókavos – are well worth exploring by vehicle or mountain-bike.
